Deshima Sessions

Deshima Sessions

Distance is not the problem.Lack of direction is.

Deshima Sessions connects songwriters, musicians, vocalists and producers across distance to develop songs together. A session can begin with a lyric, riff, melody, beat, voice memo or demo. We bring together the people and production tools the project actually needs.

One song. Different places.

A writer may be in one city, the vocalist somewhere else and the producer in another studio. They do not need to share a room to share a song.

01 / The idea

It starts somewhere.

A lyric, riff, melody, beat, demo or unfinished thought can be enough to begin.

02 / The people

Bring in what it needs.

Writers, musicians, vocalists, producers and engineers contribute where they add something meaningful.

03 / The direction

Keep one route.

Ideas are developed, selected and shaped around the song rather than becoming a collection of unrelated files.

Hybrid production

Human-led. Modern by design.

Real performances, recording, MIDI, virtual instruments, software and AI-assisted tools can all become part of a Deshima production when they serve the music. The creative direction and final decisions remain human.

From idea to production.

We keep the process simple enough to stay creative and structured enough to finish what works.

01 / Start

Bring something.

A lyric, riff, beat, melody, demo or creative brief.

02 / Connect

Find the people.

The project brings in the contributors it actually needs.

03 / Build

Develop the song.

Writing, recording, arrangement and production move the idea forward.

04 / Finish

Keep what works.

The strongest decisions become the final production.

I have an idea

It does not have to be finished.

Bring us a lyric, riff, melody, beat, voice memo or demo and tell us what you hear in it. The interesting part may be what the idea can still become.

I want to contribute

Bring your identity.

Deshima Sessions can involve vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, writers, beatmakers, producers and engineers. We are interested in people with identity, not simply another name in a database.

Rights & Credits

Credits matter.

Collaborative production needs clear attribution. Writer roles, contributions and relevant rights are documented as part of the project before release or commercial use. Detailed licensing and usage questions are handled separately when a project moves toward release or media use.

Start somewhere

Bring the idea. Deshima builds the route.

Some sessions begin with almost nothing. One line. One riff. One voice. That can be enough.
